Selected pixel: axial profile and threshold sensitivity
The curve uses the same consecutive, 8-bit display frames as the slice viewer, only inside the plotted depth window. Markers and the table use the full-precision full volume, before quantization. A rounded curve can appear to cross a threshold at a different bin.
Black: display amplitude /255 · Purple: default 4.5 threshold and its exact native first crossing · Gray: other native crossings · Amber: current slice

Range across these rules is threshold sensitivity. It is not confidence, physical surface truth, uncertainty or resolution. Missing crossings stay unknown; an axial maximum alone is not a detection. Unregistered source coordinates remain unchanged.
